I would like to offer a guide of etiquette to all members of the site. If you should see or find any data or information that you find to be wrong, incorrect, dangerous or such & see a need to correct such information, it needs to be done with facts & a good dose of tact. In such cases please leave personal feelings or opinions, especially towards the member being corrected, out of public posts, as these can easily be viewed correctly or mistakenly as a personal attack or trolling against the individual. There are many opinions shared on this site & we value them all, but they must be fair. What is written on this site is not diving gospel & if there are any serious diving related questions by a diver or student, they should be directed to a diving instructor or professional in that particular field. We all accept each other here for who & what we are, even our individual idiosyncrasies. If you see a need to tease with (NOT AT) someone lightly & in jest about those differences (and we do occasionally) please do it in a tactful & very carefully worded way. Just like in the real world, it can be fine, even fun, to tease & jest with someone, but know where the limits are with the individual & DO NOT cross those limits with that individual. If told by the individual, moderator or administrator to stop or tone down, do so immediately or there could be action taken. If a member has a problem with another, please direct that problem PRIVATELY to that individual, a moderator or administrator for clarification or correction. Written words on this site can not always reveal true intentions of the poster, so please use accepted words, symbols &/ or smilies to re- enforce that meaning. We are a tight knit community who like to dive, have fun online & share personal experiences with each other online. Personal attacks, overbearingness, putting others down, trolling & other such abuses will not be tolerated on this site. So please keep it light, fun, educational & informative. That's the spirit we want here, and encourage all to partake in on this site.
