Hey everyone!
I have finally managed to get myself to a computer with internet access. I've been thinking about diving a lot lately and figured I should pop in and say hello. Life here in Afghanistan is starting to get colder. Hopefully the terrorists are fair weather fighters right. Don't see that one happening though. Anyhow. I just thought that I would drop a line and say hello. Hope everyone is doing well. Hopefully we'll get to dive again when I get back from this deployment next year. Take care. Oh and... if anyone has any old scuba mags just laying around, I could use the reading material.. and some pictures of stuff other than barren wastelands of small mountains and shrubs haha. Sam! It's so good to hear form you again! Good to hear you're doing OK. Can't wait also until you're home safe & can join us again. I do happen to have a bunch of Dive Training magazines, if you're interested. I just need to know where to send them.

Hey everyone. Thanks for the well wishes. I'm doing just fine. As far as magazines go, I'll take whatever ya got. At this point I'm down for anything with a tropical landscape and people who don't wear man dresses and have beards. I haven't read much dive training magazine so I have no idea whats in it. But anything diving related is good for me. I'm not sure of the address at the place I'm at right now, nor how long I'll be here. I'll get it to everyone as soon as I can though. I really don't need much. We've got a PX for personal hygiene stuff and honestly that's all I really have time for. The magazines slip nicely into the old ruck sack and help pass the time when waiting for all hell to break loose. Plus the morale booster of better views is nice. Anyhow. Good to hear from everyone. I'll be in touch. Thanks again!

If you guys want, you can bring the magazines to me when I'm at the shop, I can box them up & ship them all together to ship to Sam. I will be at the shop this Fri. (Oct. 10- after 12 noon) & Sat (Oct. 11 all day) & next Fri. (Oct. 17 all day).

Its still up in the air as to whether or not we'll be spending 12 or 15 months over here. Either way, I should be back in time for the dive season. I may be back a bit early for it. Maybe we could plan a MAG in panama City or something? Who knows. I definitely look forward to diving with everyone again though! Thanks for the mags and well wishes everyone.
