2008 Ohio Riversweep - June 21, 2008
MrsEvvScuba Since: Jun 2006 Posts: 217 Last: 11/13/08 Cert: AOW Dives: 36	This is an annual event that the club helped out with last year. It's an Ohio river clean-up. Gloves and trash bags are provided. All you need to do is show up with old clothes on ready to clean-up the trash that others leave behind. More details to come, but I wanted everyone to pencil this in on their calendar. Last year we went to Steve's house afterwards for some grilling and fun. Maybe this year we can do that again or maybe go to my house. I have a call in to the coordinator so more details will be coming. Everyone is to meet at 9:00 am at the Four Freedoms Monument in Downtown Evansville, Indiana. Donuts and drinks are provided, as well as, trash bags and gloves. You need to wear old clothes and comfortable shoes. Also, everyone that participates gets a free t-shirt, can't beat that! Would be neat next year to have our own tee shirts. Fox 7 and the Courier and Press were there. Stacie was even interviewed, but she didn't make the paper, bummer Look for this next year, and try to make it. Maybe the entertainment can be better next year with a bigger (later) get together, rather than one immediately after? What do ya think? A big thanks goes to Misty and Jason for putting this on!
