Just started my SSI Open Water certification classes this weekend 3/5/10, at Aquatech in Evansville. I have great instructors and think that I am going to love scuba diving.

Good luck with your training! The folks at Aquatech know their stuff and will train you correctly! Have you done any pool time yet? If not, just wait. That first breath off of a regulator is something you will always remember.
Yes, spent a couple of hours in the pool Sat. doing the water treading, laps requirments and snorkeling but then it was into the SCUBA gear. I wish I hadn’t been so nervous and could have enjoyed the underwater breathing more but it was fantastic.
Glad to hear that you are enjoying your class. Another diver is born! The only thing that I would warn you about is,…. it’s addictive. Have fun & keep us abreast of your progress!
