    Welcome to the site. This is a forum for introductions, greetings, and any information you’d like to share with the group.

    So with that, I’m Steve Owens, President of Evansville Scuba Club. I’ve been President since the club started, several years ago. I’ve been diving since 1989. Love this sport/hobby/passion. My certifications range from basic open water to full cave. I like quarry dives, to warm Caribbean dives, to obviously cave dives. My wife and I got engaged underwater! I’ve got over 700 dives now, and a ton of good memories! And I still want more!

    Other things: God has given me a wonderful family, I like reading/learning more about diving, reading American heritage books (non-fiction), competitive shooting (IDPA, etc.), bicycling and exercise, and have been known to grill a thing or two.

    I’m Tammy Storm.Like Steve, I have also been with the club since it started. I held the secretary position for a couple of years, but had to step down because of time constraints. I have been diving just over 4 years & currently have just under 400 dives. I am currently an Open Water Instructor for Aquatech & a part time instructor for Pennyroyal (the local quarry). I am also currently working towards my Full Cave Diver certification. I’ll dive just about anything; cold water, warm water, deep, shallow, murky, clear,… you name it. I enjoy meticulously planned out, advanced dives & really enjoy simple dives. One of my favorite things to do is to dive with beginners. I love to show people around! If you’re ever looking to dive, just give me a shout. As long as I’m not working, I’m ready to dive!

    I am single, but enjoy hanging out with my family. I even taught my dad to dive last year, so I can have a dive buddy. Diving is a passion for me, I thoroughly enjoy it. I have 3 “kids” (pets); a Labrador Retriever, a cat & a parrot.

    Hello I am Trever and I am an alcho… ooops sorry wrong group. I have been with the club since the beginning of time, I say that because my life never really began until I met Steve Owens. I was Vice President of the club until my job description changed and I started to travel on a very regular basis. I have been diving since 2004. My current Certs included, Open Water, Nitrox or (EAN), IANTD Deep, Stress and Rescue. I have over a hundred dives. Half of my dives are in the local quarries and half in the warm tropics. Last fall my son Taylor was certified by Evansville SCUBA Club’s very own Tammy Storm. and she did a wonderful job. I am looking forward to diving with Taylor this year.

    Other neat stuff about me: I currently live in Mt. Vernon, IN, however my house is for sale and when it sells my family and I will be moving to Pensacola. I have a Wife (Karen) who supports my diving, four offspring, Matthew, Nicholas, Taylor, Ty. I also have one granddaughter, Hadley.
